CREATE-X celebrates its 10th year in 2024. The program has spent a decade instilling entrepreneurial confidence in students through workshops, courses, mentorship, and support. In that time, more than 450 startups have launched, 12,000 students have participated, and the total portfolio valuation totals $1.9 billion.

Its 12-week summer startup accelerator, Startup Launch, continues to foster student entrepreneurship as well, and applications for this summer are currently being accepted until Tuesday, March 19.

“Georgia Tech wants to give you the best unfair advantage. That’s what I tell students,” said Rahul Saxena, director of CREATE-X. “You’re already at Tech, so we know you have what it takes. We want to give you the education, the financial backing, the network, and the mentorship to create something with impact. Startup Launch gives you the time to fully dive into this unique experience to intern for yourself. If you’ve ever thought about entrepreneurship, college is the best time to try it out. The skills and confidence you gain from it will help you in your career, regardless of what pathway you take.”

Startup Launch supports Georgia Tech’s faculty, alumni, and students develop startups from any stage. Participants attend sessions, team socials, and pitch practices and receive coaching and mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and notable Tech alumni. They also receive $5,000 optional seed funding, $150,000 in-kind-services, and an entrepreneurial network that  will last a lifetime.

Last year, more than 3,764 people registered to attend Demo Day, Tech’s premier startup showcase, including campus and local business leaders, students, and the public. This year, CREATE-X started a cohort for the spring, comprising select teams from CREATE-X Capstone courses, in addition to the traditional cohort they’ll have this summer. Last year, 109 teams were accepted into the program.

Applications for this summer’s Launch cohort close March 19. CREATE-X does rolling admissions, so apply to Startup Launch today to increase your chances of acceptance. CREATE-X believes in quickly producing, failing fast, and then iterating again. So, the team also offers feedback to all applicants and encourages them to submit, even if they’re not totally sure about their application. A previous info session on Launch and a sample application are available to help students prepare. For additional questions, email create-x@groups.gatech.edu.
